HARSCO RAIL AWARDED MARK VI TAMPING MACHINE CONTRACT
Pact extends existing agreement with Port Authority of Allegheny CountyCHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 25, 2018)— Harsco Corporation’s railway track maintenance division, Harsco Rail, announced today that it has been chosen by the Port Authority of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, PA for delivery of one tamping machine.
The contract calls for the provision of a specialized Mark VI machine, with an expected delivery date by Winter 2019. The Allegheny County Port Authority purchased the machine to improve and maintain track structure which, in turn, improves passenger rideability.
“This order represents the expansion of our longstanding relationship with the Allegheny County Port Authority,” said Harsco Rail President Jeswant Gill. “Through that relationship, we know that they prioritize the safety and comfort of their passengers above all else.
