COLUMBIA, SC (December 16, 2013)...Worldwide rail infrastructure and maintenance company, Harsco Rail, a division of Harsco Corporation, signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Protran Technology on December 5, 2013.

Within this distribution agreement, Harsco Rail will be the exclusive worldwide representative and distribution agent for Protran products. Protran Technology is an industry leader in safety products including Collision Avoidance. They specialize in technology development, asset monitoring, advance warning, and voltage awareness devices. They have been providing US Transits with technical and manufacturing expertise for the past 15 years.

Shannon Bailey, Vice President of Protran Technology, shared, "The partnership between Protran Technology and Harsco will expedite our mutual goals of promoting safety in the rail industry through real time advanced warning technology. We are excited to be able to leverage Harsco's global sales network to take our products to market."
